  Hartford Public Schools: Network Architect
  • Design and implement networking projects.
  • Manage growing 60+ site, 20,000+ port ATM / Ethernet / wireless metropolitan network; installing and configuring ATM hardware, routers, and Ethernet switches; network trouble shooting and monitoring.
  • Manage nine site Frame Relay network.

    Extensive hardware experience in all aspects of the PC and PS/2 platforms. Compaq and Dell servers, Network hardware experience includes Nortel Networks (Bay Networks) hubs. switches, concentrators and routers, CSU/DSUs, Shiva dial-in/dial-out solutions, network modems, LAN-based CDROM towers, IBM RS/6000, Hewlett Packard 9000 Series UNIX systems, laser printers, (networked and PC-attached), tape drives, and scanners. Lucent Technologies G3I PBX, and Definity AUDIX. APC, Best, and Exide UPSs.
   
    LAN/WAN hardware protocols include bridges, routers, switches, Ethernet, Token-Ring, ATM, FDDI, ARCnet, point-to-point WAN and Frame Relay. LAN software protocols include TCP/IP, IPX, DHCP, SNMP, LANE PNNI, IISP, etc.
